Ally Gallop, MS, RD, CSSD

Associate Director of Performance Nutrition, University of Washington

    Ally Gallop joined the UW staff as Associate Director of Performance Nutrition in Oct., 2021. She works primarily with the Huskies’ softball and men’s rowing teams.

    A native of Victoria, B.C., Canada, Gallop comes to Seattle after having spent two seasons as Major League Dietician and three year at the University of Utah as Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition. Before entering the world of athletics, Gallop worked in nutrition communications and policy within the food industry and as a clinical dietician.

    Gallop earned her bachelor’s degree in food, nutrition & health/dietetics from the University of British Columbia in 2012. She went on to earn a master’s degree in nutrition communication and behavior change (minor in U.S. food & nutrition policy) from Tuft University in 2016, and a diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee in 2018.

    Gallop also holds the following certifications: Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and ISAK Level 1 Skinfolds (body composition).
