Ben McKay, MS

University of Oregon Sport Science Coordinator

    Ben McKay joined the University of Oregon Athletic Department in 2018 to fulfill the role of Sports Science Coordinator. In this position, McKay is responsible for the delivery of the school’s sports science program, with a particular focus on football.

    McKay graduated from the University of Wollongong in Australia with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He is currently completing a second Master’s program, this time in Research, where he is investigating the physiological effects of training and competition among collegiate football players.

    Previous to his role at the University of Oregon, McKay has worked in the private sector in both injury rehabilitation and adolescent athlete development. Further to this, he has been involved in a number of research projects spanning across several sports.
