Jill McVey, PT, ATC

(Puget Sound) FAI Rehab

    Jill is a physical therapist at Movement Systems PT in Seattle, WA, and an athletic trainer at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. She is a graduate from the DPT program at the University of Puget Sound and a certified athletic trainer. She maintains a diverse caseload ranging from spinal cord injury to high level athletics to chronic musculoskeletal pain. Jill is a published author on the foot and ankle and lectures on movement dysfunction in the orthopedic population. Jill also has received training in aquatic rehabilitation and maintains an interest in treating neurodegenerative movement disorders.

    Outside of her career, Jill plays roller derby under the pseudonym ‘Jill Nye the Science Guy’ for the Rat City Rollergirls. She and her partner are active in the Seattle music scene and are also record collectors, so please see her after the lecture if you happen to have a first edition pressing of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars record that you would be willing to sell.
