Tandi Hawkey has been practicing as a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois as a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She then went on to earn a Master’s Degree from the University of North Carolina in Exercise Science, also with an emphasis in Athletic Training. After a brief stint at Northern Illinois University, she has been working with the Bruin student-athletes at UCLA since 2005. She has been responsible for the care of the cross country, track and field, men’s volleyball, men’s tennis and currently is taking care of the men’s soccer and women’s water polo teams.  She has additional training in manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization as well as certifications for Graston Technique, Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Myofascial Decompression Cup Therapy, Systemic Dry Needling for Sports Performance, Blood Flow Restriction and National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Performance Enhancement Specialist.
